We’re inviting the LGBTQ+ community to come celebrate Trans Day of Visibility with us and kick off the riding season on Sunday, April 2! Our #FillThePodium partners are also invited so that you can ask them about their events and what they’re doing to make cycling more inclusive.
Noon - Meet & Greet
1 PM - No Sweat Ride - Route: Strava | Ride With GPS
At the Meet & Greet we’ll have a chill time to mingle in Dismount Bike Shop’s extra space (two doors down from their main location) and be giving away some awesome swag on a first come first served basis!
Snacks & beverages provided by Dismount Bikes
Hurtin in Haliburton cycling caps and patches
Bike Lights provided by The Biking Lawyer LLP
For the ride we’ll be aiming to keep it around 20 km, on pavement, and at a pace where you don’t work up a sweat — perfect for meeting someone new! Bring whatever bike you’re comfortable riding and clothing appropriate for early April weather. If the forecast isn’t to your liking, Dismount is on St Clair, right at the Oakwood streetcar stop. Join us inside for some chill vibes and talk about the program.
We’re looking forward to meeting you and working our way up to bigger rides throughout the season!
The space is wheelchair accessible, there are washrooms in the back, and you’ll be able to bring your bike inside unless the crowd get too big!
Note: The main Dismount store is closed on Sundays and the extra space will be open just for us.
